There is a battle going on in your belly (actually your gut microbiome) and it can affect your overall health. Could you ever imagine that how well you feel is linked to microscopic bacteria living inside your body! You need to keep feeding your army of good bacteria to stop any chance of the baddies strengthening their forces.
Your good bacteria love wholefoods like vegetables, fruit, beans, pulses, oats and seeds. They also love good fats like nuts and extra virgin olive oil and excitingly they also like very dark chocolate too!! Do you eat those foods? Perhaps you eat too much ultra processed foods which can feed the baddies. But do not worry as you have the power to change this, and to help you we would love you to engage in our challenge to see how you can win this battle. |

Increasing your food awareness and encouraging your children to make healthy choices when eating is all part of winning the battle. By recognising that we can eat foods that harm or heal and the choices we make have a direct impact on our health is a great step forward to winning the battle.
